Golf Fitness > Golf Exercises > Golf Exercise and StretchingGolf Exercise and Stretching
Notice the guy on the right (nice outfit right?)? He's taken golf exercise and stretching to the extreme. With that in mind...Golf exercise is mainstream thanks to PGA, LPGA and Senior PGA players like Tiger, Annika, Larry Nelson. It is now common among most players on tour and they are seeing the benefits firsthand. Participating in a golf exercise and stretching program that works on all your physical limitations is the approach you need to take. Every golfer has different physical needs, and they should be at the top of your golf exercise program list. Father Time...The "use-it-or-lose" phrase is SO true. The human body declines rapidly in both strength and flexibility if you don't keep up with it. Know what I mean? Do you feel like you've lost key components for optimal golf performance? It's a natural occurrence of aging...but you can do something about it! Exercise that's specific to the demands the golf swing puts on your body...and there are many...is where it's at today. Just getting in your golf posture takes a higher level of both strength and flexibility in your hamstrings. Now how about making a decent swing? It's not going to happen if your body is physically limited, weak and inflexible. A fitter body and better game aren't going to happen on their own with you sitting on the couch watching those "golf tips" segments on the golf channel...you've got to start your golf exercise program now. What about muscle?Strength training for golf is viewed by golfers as a lot of work, time-consuming, boring and you need a gym membership to do it. None of that is true. You see...strength training for golf isn't on machines anyways...so that eliminates the requirement of a gym. All you need is a pair of handweights, exercise tubing and a stability ball and you've got your entire in-home golf fitness gym. It's not a lot of work, if you pick and choose the area you want to focus on. It's not time-consuming if you do it in the convenience of your home, and have a plan of action. And lastly, it can be a lot of fun, when you use bands, exercise balls and training equipment specific to golf. Golf Specific Exercise There many "so-called" golf exercise programs, but when you compare them to my golf program ... they'll show you pictures of golfers sitting on their butts in a machine. Ummm, the last time I checked...when I hit a golf ball I'm standing not sitting! My program provides all of the easy to do specific exercises to improve your game in only two short weeks. You can read more about my program here. Mike Pedersen |
