Golf Channel Fitness...Do You Watch It?

You don't need the golf channel for fitness, when you can get dvds and a jam-packed manual on this site! Click here!

I love the Golf Channel! I use to watch it almost everyday for all their great tips, golf news coverage and of course that weeks tournament. When they launched The Golf Channel Fitness show I was very excited at the thought of golf fitness becoming a national, if not international topic.

Shortly after the show launched, I was getting tons of emails and questions about fitness and golf , and that was great! I don't know if the show is still on, but while it was on I caught a few episodes and was glad to see it was golf specific and effective.

The only question mark in my mind for the average senior golfer was some of the equipment they used and also getting the information in tidbits. The equipment was sometimes very commercial and not affordable for the average golfer, and they didn't show the viewer how they could do a similar movement with less expensive equipment.

Getting the information and exercises in chunks didn't allow a golfer to put together a routine they could do then and there. While learning a new golf exercise is great, being able to implement it in a program that makes sense is very difficult. With that being said, I am still very happy the show hit a national audience, and made the golfer more aware of the importance of fitness for golf.

The next step after watching the golf channel fitness show would be to look into getting a golf fitness book or maybe a set of golf fitness dvds to take you through an entire, very effective routine that will quickly and effectively improve your golf swing power, distance and consistency!

In addition to the show, it is becoming very popular to hear the commentators during a televised PGA Tournament mention a particular player doing his golf training or how much better conditioned they've become. This should be an eye-opener to all of you who want to play better golf. If the pros are doing it, you should too!

Implementing a golf fitness program into your golf improvement plan is a critical factor. Addressing your physical limitations with simple exercises and stretches will do wonders for your golf swing and game. Just a few minutes a day will give you back ten times that in a better golf swing. The return on investment is well worth it. Don't get intimidated thinking it has to be hard or time-consuming. It doesn't! In 10 minutes a day, you can see amazing improvement!
