A Golf Fitness Program Can Transform Your Swing

We all know by now the players on tour participate in a fitness program for golf.

The bar has been raised so high, that most of the players have jumped aboard and started their fitness programs to stay competitive and still make a living.

The logical step is for amateur players to do the same.

With the winter season setting in, golfers want to stay connected to the game like our friend to your left. We'll play in any kind of weather. A great way to improve your game and maybe drop a few pounds is by improving your fitness specific to golf. Doing so will improve your golf swing mechanics, consistency, driving distance and reduce the occurrence of golf injuries.

Strength And Stretching The Easy Way

If you picture a fitness program for golf as a grueling, sweating effort, don't believe it! In fact, you might find you enjoy it! You don't need to go to a gym, and you don't need much equipmetn. But what you do need is to do a little stretching and strength together to see the improvements in your golf swing.

If you want both power and consistency in your swing, you've got to do a little of both. Just a little goes a long ways! I really want you to understand this is not a huge commitment we're talking about. How about 20 minutes a day to a great game and a healthier body? That's all it takes!

Now comes the fun part! Doing this simple exercises and stretches to benefit your golf game. The key is to isolate the weaknesses in your body causing your current swing faults. Once you do, you are on your way to curing those swing faults and producing a golf swing that will stand the test of time! No off or on days anymore. You may be off a few strokes here or there, but your swing will be much more consistent for 18 holes.

You heard that right! Don't let any 'so-called' golf training guru tell you, you need to grind out 60-90 minutes EVERY day to see improvement in your game. It ain't so! If you're in the senior golfers category, you will see results. Just picture...if you weren't doing anything, and all of a sudden you're doing 20 minutes of strength and stretching specific to your swing, that's huge! You will no doubt see improvement!
