As a golfer, do you experience back pain or aggravation? Specific stretches for golfers will elinimate this from ever happening again! Just as little as 7 minutes a day, will not only make your back feel great, but your swing will become tension-free, and very powerful!
Stretching for golf doesn't have to be grueling or take up all of your day. Just the right stretches...done consistently will make a world of difference! I'm a firm believer in simple, easy and time-efficient in all my programs, dvds and books. This is what golfers are looking for, and that is what will work!
To save time and become efficient at your stretching routine for golf and your back, you should focus on rotational types of stretches. Since the main movement in golf is turning, this is the type of stretching you should do for your back. Any other type of stretches will not be near as effective.
Golf swing flexibility is critical to making a full turn with minimal effort, and keeping the stress on your lower back to a minimum. Too many golfers waste their valuable time on worthless stretches that will never improve back pain, or backswing range of motion. Don't be one of them! Simple stretches like in my golf stretching dvd will take only 7 minutes, and be the most effective and easy stretches you've ever done!
When you do your back stretches, there are a few critical things to remember. First off, do NOT hold any stretch beyond 15 seconds! You've probably heard stories of 1-2 minutes. Do NOT do this! All you need is 15 seconds and get out of that stretch!
Stay within your limits. Stretching is never comfortable, but taking a stretch beyond your limits will do more harm than good. You MUST pay close attention to how your body is feeling during every stretch. If it feels even a tad painful, back off. To improve your current range of motion, you'll need to go slightly, and I mean slightly beyond your current range...and that's it!
Do each stretch twice! Not 3,4 or 5 times each. Just twice is all you need.
Incorporate one to two stretchs for your hamstrings. Your hamstring flexibility directly effects your back. The hamstrings run through your glute muscles, right into your lower back. The more flexible they are, the less the stress on your back during your golf swing.
If you are looking for a dvd you can do right in your home, then take a look at my best-selling golf stretching dvd. I've made it a simple, yet very effective routine, you can do in 7 minutes!
