Here you go! You get to the course with less than 5 minutes til you tee off...oops no warm up today right ? Big mistake! Simple golf stretches before you play will make all the difference in the world. Stretching for golf is critical to all golfers, especially if you're gaining years on your game.
The key is to know "what stretches to do" as to not HURT your game, but help it. There are actually many stretches that can rob you of distance if you're not careful! Not your end-goal is it? Instead, learn some easy golf specific stretching exercises to "prepare your body to perform".

Did you ever do a sport in high school? If so, did you EVER skip your warm up? I'll bet you didn't did you? Why would golf be any different then? You are "hoping to perform", but you're not making it any easier on yourself by not warming up your body are you?
The most effective pre-round stretches are dynamic ones. That is movement stretches specific to your golf swing. Not stretches you'd do in the gym. Those are the ones that will kill your power and distance from the getgo. If you've ever noticed a golfer on the range doing some funny looking movements, he/she may very well have been doing some dynamic golf stretches.
For your best results, I would strongly recommend doing a golf stretching program. That way you know for sure you are hitting all the critical muscles in your golf swing. Doing a "hit-and-miss" stretch program won't get you to where you want to be. Like anything...you get out of it what you put into it!
