Stretching For Golf Can Increase Your Yardage

Have you ever seen the golfer that moves around like the Tin Man from the 'Wizard of Oz'? You know the person...they can barely bend over without grimacing like they need an oil can? Could that person be you? Don't get me wrong, I'm not poking fun at anybody, that's just not my style...what I'm going to do though, is explain to you how two simple golf stretching exercises can not only improve your flexibility, but also lower your score TODAY!

Golf Stretching Basics

There are so many books on stretching available but I pride myself on the fact I happen to be a golf fitness expert. My latest golf fitness dvd discusses and shows you how simple it is to be fully stretched quickly without pain and be ready to tee off in no time.

OK...I need to get just a little technical here but I want to explain the two basic types of golf stretches...the first type is called static stretching.

Static and Dynamic Golf Stretching

Static stretching produces its best results after your muscles have been used to perform a specific act...such as trying to hit the longest drive in your life only to discover the club has left your hands, flown down the fairway and you've crumbled to your knees clutching your lower back or your shoulder. Sound kinda familiar? It happens every day of the week.

The "static" part of the stretch can really be called holding stretch because that's exactly what you do...you elongate the muscle and hold it allowing enough time for your muscles fibers to stop twitching, calling you names, giving up and finally relaxing. It's also best to perform these types of stretches in between strength training exercises, after a warm shower in the morning, and after a round of golf.

Dynamic stretching on the other hand is a complete different type of golf stretching. These types of stretches take place while the muscle is actually being used, not rested.

The static and dynamic golf stretches I explain in my golf fitness manual, when used properly...not only increase your flexibility, they also increase your strength. With increased strength and increased flexibility, I can most certainly promise you not only more pars and greens in regulation...but also more fun and enjoyment.

If you're like the "Tin Man" I spoke of earlier, do yourself a favour and consider becoming a member to my site. I'll take a very personal interest in your golf fitness level and design a program specifically for you and your current state of health.

I promise, simply follow my stretching program and come tee-time...you won't need to hide behind something like the wizard.
