How would you like to add a quick 10-20 yards with every club? How would you like to improve your golf swing - in less than 30 minutes?

You think it impossible? Well you can - in fact it’s a “no-brainer”! I’ve had thousands of frustrated golfers ask me, “how can I improve my golf swing?” They’ve told me about the money they’ve spent on equipment, the lessons they’ve paid for, in an attempt to improve their golf swing. All fruitless!

I can tell you why it was all wasted in two words: YOUR BODY.

The Golf Swing Is Physical

Grab a cup (good ol’ java for me!), sit in your favourite chair and listen. You’re about to learn something that will improve your golf swing. What happens when you swing? Believe me, a light bulb is about to shine!

Here we go:

* You physically grab the club in your hands.
* You physically bend into the address position.
* You physically pull the club back, trying hopefully to get a full backswing.
* You physically return the club back to the ball with the stored energy.
* You physically try to maintain your posture until your swing finishes.

Do you understand how this knowledge can help you improve your golf swing? You do these things using your body as a tool. If you improve your body’s ability to make these movements, with proper swing mechanics, you will improve your golf swing.

If you understand why your body can’t properly carry out these mechanical tasks then you will have a better chance of optimizing your golfing potential. If you can identify your faults you can fix them. So what does that mean for you?

Golf Swing Improvement

To start with, if your hamstring flexibility is restricted, your posture will be poor. Even if you can get it OK at the start of the round, it sure won’t last for 18 holes! You won’t improve your golf swing with tight hamstrings. You will be in too much pain, and too tired, and will make far too many mis-hits. By the time you finish your back will be in pain, and you will wonder if you can manage that round you promised yourself tomorrow.

How about weak legs – do you have those? Lots of people do. You won’t have a proper golf swing with weak legs because you won’t be stable enough. Instead of flexing as they should, your legs will be slipping about and straightening up. Your body will try to compensate, leading to a lack of power, inconsistency and lots of injuries due to your body compensating for the weakness, and you will be laid up more than you should be.

The reason I am a golf performance coach is that I have a passion for the game - but more than that - I have a goal to educate as many golfers as I possibly can, and to help them overcome their frustration at fruitlessly spending so much time and effort in trying to improve their swing, never understanding why they keep failing.

Read this again, and understand it, and you will known what you need to do to improve your golf swing.
