Are you always looking for a good golf instruction tip? I know I am, and whenever I get a decent golf tip I try to put it to use just as soon as I can. I have a good tip for you that you can use in your office whenever you can get a few seconds free.
When you swing a golf club, it is not a natural movement. It's a twisting rotational movement that uses your muscles and joints in a very unnatural way. Therefore, if you want to have the smooth effortless swing that is so important to your game, you have to train your muscles properly. They have to feel comfortable during the swing or you will not rotate your body smoothly. Your length will be poor and your back will hurt. Stretching exercises are an ideal way to improve your distance, and this golf instruction tip is about stretching.
I know that you are generally very busy in the office, but this tip for golf, which is not necessarily an instructional tip will take just a few seconds to complete. It's great if you don't have the time to train in a gym, and a little every day will make a big difference to your golf game. Just 15 seconds of your time is all it takes.
This tip is called 'the seated twist', and it not only stretches your body for all phases of the swing, but will also ease any aches and pains you might have in your back. Its biggest advantage, though, is the greater clubhead speed and length you will develop though being able to make a full backswing and so store up a load of energy in your body ready to unleash into the clubhead.
Sit upright in your office chair with your back straight and chest high. If you reach behind you with one outstretched arm, your upper body will rotate. Twist round as far as you can, with your body straight, and then hold for ten seconds. Repeat with the other arm and carry out two or three repetitions.
This is just one tip for golfers of many regarding stretching exercises you can carry out in your office, and it won't be long till you see and feel the difference out on the course.
Along with applying an instructional tip for your golf swing, improving your body specific to golf is the ticket and that is why I produced my Golf Fitness DVDs to improve your golf specific strength and flexibility right in your home with minimal equipment.
Doesn't a simple golf swing sound like a dream? A swing with no "swing thoughts" or mental checklists. If you're looking for a simple, easy and very effective way to improve your golf swing and eliminate your hook, I strongly recommend the Simple Golf Swing ebook.
