There is no better feeling than getting on a plane in the dead of winter, and heading for phoenix for a golf vacation. I know when I lived in Oregon (I now live here in Arizona) I came here many times and was amazed at the beautiful green grass golf courses here in December. Absolutely breath-taking! What a great place to take a vacation and get some winter golf in at the same time!
Phoenix Golf Courses
Phoenix is one of the biggest cities in the country and spans what we call the valley here. There is a golf course every other block! I am amazed at how many courses are here and how many new ones open up. With the valley being one of the biggest winter travel destinations in the country, we need a lot of golf courses to fulfill the demand.
Just in the Phoenix area...there are over 100 golf courses that are equally good, and very enjoyable to play. The beauty is the mountains and the desert landscape. You won't travel to many places and see what you see here in phoenix. The golf courses may look colorless with no trees, shrubs or lush bushes, but it more than makes up for it with cactus, palm trees and other beautiful desert plants.
Vacation Packages For Phoenix Arizona
Get on a vacation travel website and you'll see dozens and dozens of packages for the Phoenix Arizona area. People from all over the country and world would die to come here in the winter time. They see the pictures, and watch the tournaments on the television, so there is no surprise at the enormous numbers of golf travellers who come to Phoenix to play golf and vacation.
These golf travel packages can get pretty pricey! In fact, there are some resorts that are over $1,000 a DAY! You heard that right...a DAY! That's a little out of my budget, but with a little due diligence, you can find your range and book a very exciting travel package to Phoenix.
Location To Golf And Shopping
One of the main considerations for your golf vacation in Phoenix is locale. Is your hotel or resort close to ammenitites both you and your significant other want to spend time at? Shopping, restauraunts, and of course golf will be at the top of your vacation list.
It always makes it nice when you don't have to spend your day driving to where you want to go. Ideally, you'd like to be able to spend the majority of your time playing golf, shopping and enjoying good food.
