Scottsdale Golf Vacations

If you're looking for a scottsdale vacation getaway, you're at the right place!

One of the trendiest golf vacations to travel to is in Scottsdale Arizona. Celebrities, snowbirds and many affluent golfers come to Scottsdale for a short golf vacations or a seasonal stay trips for up to four months.

Golf in the valley (especially) Scosttsdale is spectacular! I should know...I live here! Course like the TPC where the FBR Open is played, as well as many others make a golf trip to scottsdale worthwhile. Just make sure to bring lots of golf balls...as many of the courses are desert courses, meaning target golf. Miss the landing area and your ball is long gone in the desert.

Golf Courses In Scottsdale

As I mentioned earlier, the golf courses here in Scottsdale are known all over the US and the world. The TPC where Tiger Woods played in the then Phoenix Open (now the FBR Open), Grayhawk, Troon North, the famous Boulders (Golden Door) resort in North Scottsdale (actually Carefree about 5 minutes from my home), and many other exclusive high end resort courses.

One thing you better remember when you travel to Scottsdale on vacation, and plan to play some golf...it will run you between $150 to $300 to play per round of golf. Most golfers don't care because they're not spending the money on golf back home because of the winter and no golfing.

Another thing to remember before you come to Scottsdale on you golf vacation is to book your teetimes at the same time you are making your flight and hotel plans. If you don't, you'll arrive and have no place to play.

Scottsdale Vacation Packages

There are hundreds of Arizona vacation packages available, whether it be on the net, or in your local travel guide shop. The packages range from resort style accomodations, to bare-bones hotels for the fanatic golfer who just cares about the courses, not the ammenities.

These packages can get very pricey in the winter, since that is our BIG season for golf and travel. Hotel prices can range from the low hundreds to a thousand a night! It all depends on your tastes and budget! If you want to go in style, you'll look into the resorts like the Marriott, Westin and others.

Location, Location, Location

The biggest consideration you may have when booking a golf vacation in Scottsdale is your locale to your interests. Whether it be just golf, or shopping, maybe restaurants or malls. Either way, finding out how close everything is to your hotel may be the deciding factor in what vacation you choose.

Knowing you will spend several thousand on a trip like this, you want to make sure you've looked into it as finely as you can, to reassure yourself there'll be no surprises when you get there!
